Hi, this is 3rd day in Phu Quoc Island, we had plan to go to to the North by motorbikes.
We wanted to visit Sim wine manufacturer named Bảy Gáo /pay gau/ but they closed today, so we continued to the Fish sauce – the most famous product of Phu Quoc Island. This manufacture named “Khải Hoàn” /kai hwan/.
They have very big factory to make Fish Sauce and some stores to sell them. They have about 800 big buckets, each bucket has to wait 12-15 months to get products.
After bought some bottles of Fish sauce, we continued to Bee and Pepper farm. There’re many Pepper farms here but if you want to be described, you should go to Jenny’s pepper farm. They were very friendly, they described us very detail about how to plant, grow pepper trees and how they get products. They can speak by English well.
We had to wear special hats to protect from bees. Pepper farm and Bee farm is very closed.
These tree is 6 years old and they can get products every year by seasons.
Next to the Bee farm. They have some box to grow honey from bees. Each box has one queen bee and about 500-10000 other bees. These bees get pollen from Sim flowers and make honey.
They planted about 7000m2 of Sim trees to get fruits and grow bees. When they want to get honey, they use smoke to force bees go the other place of the box, then they get honey by centrifuger machine to keep Bee’s houses don’t be broken. They said that these bees got from Australia.

After visiting farms, we went to Rạch Vẹm /rack viem/ to have lunch in floating restaurant. It was about 6-7km in red soil.
We booked a lunch with a restaurant on the way and went to the floating restaurant to have it.
This floating restaurant is about 22km far from Duong Dong town. It took us ~45km driving.
In the evening, I was so glad I had a chance to meet Max who working in Rabbit Hole bar. He’s very nice. He has a big family companies in Canada, but he just want to live here and work as a staff in the bar. He said that he doesn’t need more money because he has enough for his life here: small house for living, free unlimited food and drinks in the bar. He can go the the beach everyday and he really happy here. He gave us a good vision about our life and future. Just be happy! Happy is enough! ^^
